Chlorophyll, the very thing that binds Flora and Helios together, is a very able Photoreactive material that can be used to create Anthotypes in realtively short amount of time.

The probably easiest way to extract chlorphyll from plant matter is to dissolve crushed plant fibres in Alcohol.
While commonly Ethylalcohol ist recommended all spirits will work. Cheap and widely available options are Bottom shelf Vodka or everyday non-drinkable Spirits such as Ethanol and other fire starting Spirits. If in Germany you can for exmaple look for "Brennspiritus"

For plant matter you can basically use most plants leafs. Yet different plants result in different hues and Tones of green in the final extract.

Crush or roughly cut the leafs/plant matter. Blending is an Option too, yet too fine of a pulp is said to be counter productive.
Once the green mush is at hand put it in a container and top it off with alcohol and let it soak. There are different recipes/opinions on the ratio of Alcohol ot leaf and the time to let it soak. If kept in a dark place the solution can easily be left to soak overnight yet 10 minutes will also yield usable extract.

After one has decided that enough soaking and extracting has been taking place, filter out the solids by pouring the solution trough a coffee filter or cheesecloth.

The resulting solution can then applied to paper or wood and then is ready for exposure. In direct peak summer sunlight the exposed chlorphyll will fade out in a matter of minutes. During dim grey winter it may take some days until the dye has faded out enough for the wished result

Using ready made Algae powder of Spirulina or Chlorella, the powder can directly be mixed with alcohol.

The Tones and colors of said Dyes are usually rather pale and everythign but archivable as they resulting image will continue to fade in light.
While more than often this Methods is used to create reproductions and contact prints it can very much also be used for direct longtime exposure!
While theoretically most plant matter can be used there are several Plants that have proven to be more effective than others.

What are images are made of? Is it paint? Silver? Microcharges on rocks?
How does an Camera even work and what is a JPEG? Whats the newest photograph of the oldest Photograph?

In this Talk/Rambling Fabian will adress some of these question by going trough the history of the image, focusing mostly on photogrpahic practices. In analog photography the image was closely entagled with the physical world (reality if you like). Not just on the material level but also by limiting motif and perspectives to what is *there*.
Afterwards, Fabian will lose his mind about the digital image, as he will prove how the digitalization of the image changed everything by opening up a realm that exceeds our humble human existence.
Trough the invetion of the digital image file the image got datafied into a matrix of pure numbers. In the digital grid every image already exists in the latent space. In other words we have successfuly created [https://babelia.libraryofbabel.info/ an image library of Babel], every screen can be regarded as [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Aleph_(short_story) an Aleph]. Oh god have we gone too far? Now what? How does one traverse this seemingly endless, yet factual finite space of images? How does the sheer existance of this space of possibilities change the way we perceive reality? Is any of this good?

During the presentation we will look at different images, at least one camera and hoipefully exchange thoughts about what the Heck is going on in the image space.
