* conceptual aspects
** content-related
** textual
** layout in regard to content
** message conveyed by the content
--> regarding construct of an idea in connection to format and overall appearance
** relation between blank and filled pages
** spaces on a page in general
** pacing (pages and spread)
--> regarding overall appearance of the content and the publication
<br>
<br>
A dummy can be used in every step of the process, but does not necessarily have to be translated into individual physical outputs. Depends on what you need and if you can combine certain aspects. In general creating a physical implementation helps to clarify and refine your idea.
It is about gravity which is breathing us, about thawing towards grass and becoming a landscape we dare to become.
===== Inna (Workshop with movement, textiles, the space) =====
Workshop as a consistent/ coherent tool. How do you start your artistic process?

The textile and movement workshop is a part of an ongoing practice of weekly Saturday meetings, where participants can experiment with textile, stitching and constructing of textile objects in the circle of others.
A lot of attention is put on uniting movement and stitching practices, where body work (imaginative improvised, though scored, movement) prepares for and serves as research ground for working with textile, as well as exchange of stories, views on artistic practice and news.
In the framework of the open Lab WiSe25/26 we have shared both practices, focusing on the bodily sense of what we consider ‘beautiful’, ‘ugly’ and ‘weird’, which we later integrated into creating masks, to give voice to the bizarre, left out or weird parts of ourselves, which hold a lot of creative power and playfulness.
Together we spoke about diverse ways of starting an artistic project, being consistent with it and touched upon how composition can be a subjective matter.

=== -- 10.12. ===
===== Fabian (Materiality of images) =====
presentation and likely no workshop
<br>
<br>
What are images are made of? Is it paint? Silver? Microcharges on rocks?
How does an Camera even work and what is a JPEG? Whats the newest photograph of the oldest Photograph?

In this Talk/Rambling Fabian will adress some of these question by going trough the history of the image, focusing mostly on photogrpahic practices. In analog photography the image was closely entagled with the physical world (reality if you like). Not just on the material level but also by limiting motif and perspectives to what is *there*.
Afterwards, Fabian will lose his mind about the digital image, as he will prove how the digitalization of the image changed everything by opening up a realm that exceeds our humble human existence.
Trough the invetion of the digital image file the image got datafied into a matrix of pure numbers. In the digital grid every image already exists in the latent space. In other words we have successfuly created [https://babelia.libraryofbabel.info/ an image library of Babel], every screen can be regarded as [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Aleph_(short_story) an Aleph]. Oh god have we gone too far? Now what? How does one traverse this seemingly endless, yet factual finite space of images? How does the sheer existance of this space of possibilities change the way we perceive reality? Is any of this good?

During the presentation we will look at different images, at least one camera and hoipefully exchange thoughts about what the Heck is going on in the image space.

===== Moritz =====
Presentation Moritz<br>
<br><br>
===== Amelia and Chaya =====
Workshop with Amelia and Chaya: "Unnecessary tools".<br>
<br>
We will be working with various tools and objects, experimenting their forms and relationship with us. and while we’ll bring some materials, it would be wonderful if you could bring a few items as well.

We’re looking for objects that *can* be taken apart or destroyed: anything from everyday functional items to non-functional bits and pieces. Ideally something that will have contact with the body. If you have scissors or any classic arts-and-crafts tools, those would be greatly appreciated too, though we’ll make sure the basics are covered.<br>

=== -- 10.12. ===
===== Fabian (Materiality of images) =====
presentation and likely no workshop
<br>
<br>

=== -- 07.01. ===
===== Moritz =====
Presentation Moritz<br>
<br><br>
===== Amelia and Chaya =====
Workshop with Amelia and Chaya: "Unnecessary tools".<br>
<br>

What if you stumble across an unheralded line, glued to a banister or a random door:

How will your somatic imagination react?

As an artist and person with the history of intentional relocations, I have naturally grown sensitive to spaces and their qualities. What is a main 'tune' of a place and how is it carried through the bodies of locals? Is this urban space people-friendly, making one feel spacious and ‘ventral’ or does it trigger and maintain the dwellers in a constant loop of a stress response? If so, how? How one claims the space their own? How can the space and us grow familiar: which gestures, routes and code-words are the right ones for this particular ‘Ort’?nThis is just a small portion of questions I always find myself dancing with.

So little by little, I have developed the artistic practice of leaving (love) notes and invitations to re-imagine the /poetic/ body of a city and its locals. I believe that this act was ignited with my urge to get to know Cologne, a city where I might find home.

In January 2020 I happened to come to São Paulo and from my first step on the ground of the grand Brazil I could witness that Brazilians did have a certain embodiment. Locals seemed to move as if connected to the centre of the Earth and it differed substantially from the embodiment I had seen and experienced before in other places. Curious, I invested hours watching people of São Paulo carrying that amazing appreciation for gravity in their bodies. How does a place you are living inform the way you move?

Another distinct somatic pattern revealed itself in the city centre: un-safety, the omnipresence of CCTV cameras and barb wired fences, the rupture between the classes might have put the somas (bodies and minds) of Paulistanos into the reality of tight skin and clenched jaws. Aware of this context I have put my mind and heart to sprinkle the collective body of the city with some love messages. I collected and translated into Portuguese the list of phrases used within a dance community (which is usually used to ease the way into an improvised dance). Each phrase starting with 'apropos' as a subtle, inviting, soft way to ignite imagination. And thus, my poetic flaneur-ing in São Paulo commenced.

Here and there I would pause to listen to the soundscape of the places, observe the context and imagine what this very spot might call for. I witnessed centennial trees towering over the market spaces, a river kept choking under asphalt, tiredness of street vendors and many more. I do not hold an illusion that my secret messages stayed long on the city skin. Most probably, as everything else tiny and selling or praising nothing, they must have disappeared from the surface of the grand São Paulo in an hour. Though, I keep cherishing hope that someone might have paused, startled for a second, amused with the image and went on feeling some extra space in their body.

[[Datei:Tail.png|mini]]
