The seminar will concentrate on aspects of time, light and movement. By drawing and building two- and three-dimensional objects the ideas of positive and negative space, light and shadow, phenomenon and perception will be observed and manipulated. Kinetic Stage

The seminar will concentrate on aspects of time, light and movement. By drawing and building two- and three-dimensional objects the ideas of positive and negative space, light and shadow, phenomenon and perception will be observed and manipulated. The movement on the kinetic objects will be achieved either by mechanical and/or hand devices and by basic programming.

What is happening with a form once it is set in motion? How is the construction influencing the movement itself and the appearance of the object? How is space created and changed by moving objects? How to build an atmosphere, a narrative texture that holds together a universe where a story can take place?

A short clip of the kinetic stage experiments on our exmedia-blog.
