The Snapmaker A350DET combines 3D printing, laser engraving, and CNC milling capabilities, allowing you to switch between different modes quickly. This page provides an overview of its possibilities and a rough outline of the different approaches to using the machine. Additionaly, there is an official Quickstart Guide as printed version available.
Overview of Possibilities
3D Printing
- Material Compatibility: The Snapmaker A350DET supports a wide range of materials, including PLA, ABS, TPU, and more.
- Working Area: 320 x 350 x 330 mm
- Software Support: Compatible with popular slicer software like Snapmaker Luban, Cura, and others.
Laser Cutting/Engraving
- Laser Power: Equipped with a 10W high-power laser module, capable of engraving and cutting various materials like wood, leather, acrylic, paper, and more.
- Working Area: 320 x 350 mm
CNC Milling
- Material Compatibility: Works with materials such as wood, acrylic, PCB, carbon fiber sheets, and soft metals like aluminum.
- Working Area: 320 x 350 mm
- Tool Compatibility: Supports a range of bits for different milling operations (e.g. small V-Bits for milling PCB’s).
General Safety Precautions
- Level and Stable Surface: Always operate the Snapmaker A350DET on a level, stable work surface to prevent movement or instability.
- Use Protective Housing: Ensure that the protective housing is used for all operating modes to ensure user safety.
- Do Not Leave Unattended: Never leave the machine unattended during operation to avoid potential accidents or malfunctions.

- Secure Workpiece: Make sure the material you work with is securely clamped in place before starting the milling operation.
Operating Modes
3D Printing
1. Prepare the Print Bed:
- Level the bed using the auto-leveling feature.
2. Load Filament:
- Preheat the nozzle to the recommended temperature for your filament.
- Load the filament through the extruder and confirm it extrudes correctly.
3. Slice the Model:
- Import your 3D model into the slicing software.
- Configure print settings such as layer height, infill, and support structures.
- Export the sliced file to the machine via USB or Wi-Fi.
4. Start Printing:
- Select the print file on the touchscreen.
- Monitor the initial layers to ensure proper adhesion and adjust settings if necessary.
5. Post-Processing:
- Remove the finished print carefully from the bed.
- Clean up any support structures or rough edges if needed.
