The Snapmaker A350 is a modular 3-in-1 machine that combines three different functionalities: 3D printing, laser engraving, and CNC carving. You can switch between the different modes easily. Due to the highly customizable use cases of this machine, this guide will provide general overviews of its capabilities rather than detailed step-by-step instructions. For additional information, please refer to the official Quickstart Guide (available as printed version in ExMedia Lab). The Snapmaker can only be operated after an introduction. Overview of Possibilities

3D Printing

  • Material Compatibility: The Snapmaker A350DET supports a wide range of materials, including PLA, ABS, TPU, and more.
  • Working Area: 320 x 350 x 330 mm
  • Software Support: Compatible with popular slicer software like Snapmaker Luban, Cura, and others.


Laser Cutting/Engraving

  • Laser Power: Equipped with a 10W high-power laser module, capable of engraving and cutting various materials like wood, leather, acrylic, paper, and more.
  • Working Area: 320 x 350 mm


CNC Milling

  • Material Compatibility: Works with materials such as wood, acrylic, PCB, carbon fiber sheets, and soft metals like aluminum.
  • Working Area: 320 x 350 mm
  • Tool Compatibility: Supports a range of bits for different milling operations (e.g. small V-Bits for milling PCB’s).



General Safety Precautions

  • Level and Stable Surface: Always operate the Snapmaker A350DET on a level, stable work surface to prevent movement or instability.
  • Use Protective Housing: Ensure that the protective housing is used for all operating modes to ensure user safety.
  • Do Not Leave Unattended: Never leave the machine unattended during operation to avoid potential accidents or malfunctions.
  • Maintain a Clean Workstation: Keep the workstation clean and organized.
  • Secure Workpiece (CNC Milling Mode): Make sure the material you work with is securely clamped in place before starting the milling operation.



Operating Modes

3D Printing

  1. Prepare the Print Bed:
    • Level the bed using the auto-leveling feature.
  2. Load Filament:
    • Preheat the nozzle to the recommended temperature for your filament.
    • Load the filament through the extruder and confirm it extrudes correctly.
  3. Slice the Model:
    • Import your 3D model into the slicing software.
    • Configure print settings such as layer height, infill, and support structures.
    • Export the sliced file to the machine via USB or Wi-Fi.
  4. Start Printing:
    • Select the print file on the touchscreen.
    • Monitor the initial layers to ensure proper adhesion and adjust settings if necessary.
  5. Post-Processing:
    • Remove the finished print carefully from the bed.
    • Clean up any support structures or rough edges if needed.

Laser Cutting/Engraving

  1. Material Preparation:
    • Secure the material onto the laser work area.
    • Ensure the material is compatible with the laser power settings.
  2. Configure Laser Settings:
    • Import your design file into Snapmaker Luban.
    • Set the appropriate laser power, speed, and number of passes based on the material.
  3. Focus the Laser:
    • Adjust the laser module height for optimal focus using the focusing tool provided.
  4. Start Engraving/Cutting:
    • Begin the operation from the touchscreen interface.
    • Monitor the process, especially for materials prone to burning.
  5. Post-Processing:
    • Clean the engraved or cut piece.
    • Apply finishing touches as needed.

CNC Milling

  1. Material and Tool Preparation:
    • Secure the workpiece on the CNC bed using clamps or double-sided tape.
    • Select and install the appropriate milling bit.
  2. Configure Milling Settings:
    • Import your design file into Snapmaker Luban.
    • Set parameters such as spindle speed, cutting depth, and feed rate.
  3. Zero the Machine:
    • Use the touchscreen to set the X, Y, and Z origins for the job.
  4. Start Milling:
    • Begin the milling operation and closely monitor for any tool or material issues.
  5. Post-Processing:
    • Remove the finished piece.
